  • Popstars, the Media, and the Bad Influence they Have

I don't want to offend anyone with this blog, but I just can't help myself and notice that some of the new up and coming popstars these days are such a bad influence on kids.  You look at Miss Spears and she has went from average to completely naughty.  I guess she thinks that sells. The sad thing in this world, is that it does.  She always gets the news media's attention anymore.  You know I am happy that she is back at the top, but give me a break.  She can write or sing a song that isn't dirty if she wants to.  I hate to see her standing in this position writing and singing songs like that to influence people for the worst.  I believe Katie Perry is pretty much the same way.  When she first started she wasn't a bad girl at all and now look at her.  Lord help us.  I don't even need to go there.  I can't forget Lady Gaga either.  Some of these songs are so unnessary.  You know all of these girls are living there dreams, being at the top of the charts, but the influence they are having on kids these days sadden me very much.  When I here a 10 to 12 year old girl singing one of their songs or anyone for that matter, I can easily see the effect it has on them and others their age.  I hate to see that and don't know why parents let their kids listen to some of that garabage.  Yeah I said it, "garabage", and that is what most of it is.  As you can see, me typing this, I have morals and I believe this world has less and less morals everyday.  You know you look back, lets say to the 1950's or 60's and you never saw or heard anything like that on the radio or the tv.  If I am correct, they wouldn't even show a couple in bed, in their pajamas, fully dressed, and talking on the tv those days.  They show that and alot more these days.  Not to mention the ratings on movie films.  If you just look back about 20 years ago and you watch a film rated R , today it would definately be pg-13.  Even in kids films they put something that isn't quite appropriate in them. I don't get it why? Now, lets look at the news. Why can't they focus on something positive in the news anymore.  Their biggest stories are always about something negative. I can honestly say that I don't watch much tv anymore.  The reason why is because most of it is negative news. The economy is bad, this person died, this house caught on fire.  I hate negative news like that and if you let it, it can put you in a bad mood.  I was reading a book one time titled, Positive Words, Powerful Results by Hal Urban, this author, which was a school teacher, conducted a test on his students.  He passed out a sheet of paper to each student, and on that paper was a list of negative and hurtful words.  He wanted everyone in the class to focus on those words I believe for five minutes with no one talking.  As soon as they got done he asked has class how they felt.  They all agreed that they felt much worse than when they first came in.  The author also stated that you could notice a big difference in the room.  He then collected the papers and passed out new ones with positive words on them.  The author said the mood changed a lot.  He asked them how they felt and they agreed they felt much better. They felt good. I shared that to prove a point.  The words that come out of our mouths has an effect on anyone that hears it.  The question is, "Is it good or is it bad?"

  • Multi-level Marketing Businesses

I have had my own experiences and sruggles with traditional MLM
(Multi-level Marketing) businesses.  What I mean by traditional
is how the majority of these businesses market their business and
how they operate.  If you've been in one, you know exactly what I
mean.  I liked the positive reinforcement and atmosphere that the
business provided, but I hated the way they wanted you to market.
They first wanted me to make a list of names of all the people
that I knew, including their phone numbers.  Then, they wanted
me to call each person asking them to sit down with me to look at
a business opportunity.  Over 90% of the time the person I was
calling would not be interested or we would schedule an
appointment and they would stand me up. (That happened many times)

After you exhausted your names list you had to go to the
local mall and stalk people like a prowling tiger, trying to get
them to get in business with you.  It was not fun. I didn't mind
showing the business plan, I just hated asking people to sit down
with me to look at it.  Not to mention the 4 business conferences
they wanted me to go to every year.  I really enjoyed these, but
each one was very expensive and not to mention I was making
nothing from the business. I lost money through the whole ordeal.
Now with that said all the MLM business opportunities that I have
come across all sounded good and I knew a few people that were
successful with them.  But very few are successful not because
the business opportunity was bad. It had nothing to do with the
business opportunity being bad. It had all to do with the
    marketing methods being used.

Right now I am in a Direct Sales Business but it is stuctured
like an MLM.  Now keep in mind, I do all of my business online.
I don't call people about my business, they call me!  I have
a 90% automated business that captures the person's name and
e-mail, directs them to my website, shows the business plan
(so I don't have to), and signs them up while I'm setting at home
enjoying life.  The old traditional MLM business I was in told me
to show the business plan 3-5 times a week for finaially freedom
in 2-5 years. Which I might add was a lie. More like 10 years.
Anyway, I said that to say this:  with my system that I use I
show the business plan to 10-30 people a week sitting at home
not leaving the house. Not to mention the business that I pursue
pays me $500 and $1000 dollar commissions per sign-up!  This
is the best thing I have ever seen bar none! To check out the
training, and marketing that will explode your business go

  • The American Dream

I just don’t get it.  When you think about the saying “American Dream”, most of us think about someone driving nice cars, living in nice homes, and just having nice things.  Not to mention, we think about wonderful lives without a worry in the world.  If I am correct this saying has been around for about a century.  Now, I still think this land to be a land of freedom and opportunity, but I can’t help but notice all the lack of jobs in America today.  A lot of these companies are moving overseas so they can make more money by paying people to work for almost nothing.  Today, in America the minimum wage is so far below poverty level it is ridiculous! If you were to double the minimum wage it would be enough,  but you still would have to set a very tight budget.  I don’t know how some people do it.  The unemployment rate is at a record high, not to mention the housing forclosures!  Nearly everyone in this world has been taught from a young age to go to school, go get a good education, and go get a good paying job.  These people that are graduating are thousands of dollars in debt for school loans and then they start to apply for jobs and realize there isn’t hardly any available!  What I am trying to say is that there are better ways out there to make a living.  Times are changing.  You just need to know where to look…………
